Julia Toro is a Photographer with a background in both the visual and written arts. She is based in New York.

Her work focuses on psychological portraits, surreal elements, fiction, and play.

After graduating from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English, Julia's creative career has spanned roles as a Copywriter, Art Director, and Creative Director for brands such as Marine Layer, Under Armour, and most recently, Whole Foods, where her collaborative and creative approach earned her the Better Together award.

In 2025, she deepened her visual storytelling skills by completing the Documentary and Visual Practice program at the International Center of Photography.

Julia's creative work has been featured on billboards, retail displays, print materials, national advertising campaigns, and the debut album cover for indie artist Will the Whale.
